One of the first customizable NFTs collections
About Ethlings
Ethlings are one of the first collections of NFTs that could be customized on the blockchain. An Ethling is a 1/1 ERC-721 token, which when it’s minted it's given a serial number, a species, a subtype, and an assortment of up to 13 slots that can be customized. Some traits are rarer than others and having an Ethling with a rare species/subtype combinations with a lot of customizable slots is hard to come by.
I was part of the team as a freelance contractor through Amplifi Labs. I was responsible for crafting the first version of the experience to buy this NFT collection in the website. My role was to define the structure and visuals (UX/UI) for the responsive design being published in May 2021.

Defining the experience
The features available at that moment I was part of this project were minting and customizing an Ethling. 13 aspects could be customized, and pieces could be saved, sold, or bought. Also, there were different species of Ethlings with different rarities. To further increase scarcity, each species has multiple subtypes, with varying odds of receiving one.

When launched on May 28th, 2021, 7777 Ethlings were minted within 5 hours. The collection and its customizable pieces are available on Opensea.
Design Library
